G30 Voice Air Mouse User’s Guide

PLEASE NOTE: This guide only applies to the version of G30 we sell, which has 33 IR-learning keys. There are also other G30 versions on the market, which may have slightly different functions.

2.4GHz Wireless

The G30 remote control uses the 2.4GHz wireless band to send input to the host device (TV box, computer, etc.), where the USB receiver is plugged in. The input data include keypresses, mouse movements and clicks, and audio input through the microphone. The green LED light flashes with every keypress in this mode. The host device must be powered on for the USB wireless receiver to work. If it is powered off, you will not be able to turn it on by pressing the POWER key in the 2.4G mode.

Programmable Infrared (IR) Keys

You can also use G30 as a universal remote control and program all but the TV key (top left) as 33 infrared (IR) keys to control additional devices such as a TV or a stereo system. To switch to the IR mode, press the TV key. Now all the other keys will no longer send keycodes to the USB wireless receiver but instead send out IR codes. And the red LED light (instead of the green one) will flash with every keypress. Obviously, you will need to first program those keys with appropriate IR codes for your other devices (see next section). To switch back to the 2.4G mode, press the TV key again.

Programming IR Keys (IR Learning)

You can program G30 as a universal remote control by making it learn from other IR remote controls. The following steps detail the procedure:

  1. Press TV on G30 to switch to the IR mode, if you haven’t already done so.
  2. Press and hold TV on G30 for 3 seconds till the red LED light starts flashing slowly, indicating IR learning mode.
  3. Place the other IR remote control head to head with G30 at about 2-3 centimeters apart. Press a button on the other IR remote control. If G30 successfully receives the corresponding IR code, its red LED light will now flash rapidly, prompting you to choose a key to accept the IR code.
  4. Press a key (other than TV) on G30 that you want to program. If G30 successfully saves the IR code, its red LED will now flash slowly again, waiting for another IR code.
  5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 to program additional keys. When you are finished, press TV on G30 to exit the IR learning mode. Now the programmed IR keys on G30 are ready to use.

Factory Reset

To erase all learned IR codes and restore factory settings, press and hold TV + DEL keys together for 5 seconds. The red LED will flash a few times, indicating the factory reset is now complete.
